What to Expect at Your First FIIT Co. Class

If you’re searching for a new gym in downtown Denver and considering The FIIT Co., you probably have some questions. What’s the vibe like? Will I be able to keep up? What do I even bring? We get it — trying a new gym can feel intimidating, especially one focused on high-intensity interval training. But here’s the truth: The FIIT Co. was built for people at every fitness level, and your first class is designed to make you feel welcome, challenged, and ready to come back.

Here’s what to expect from the moment you walk in.

ARRIVE 15 MINUTES EARLY

Plan to arrive about 15 minutes before your class starts. This gives you time to check in at the front desk, get a quick tour of the studio, and meet your coach. Our staff will walk you through how the class is structured and answer any questions. You won’t be thrown into the deep end without a life vest.

WHAT TO BRING (AND WHAT NOT TO)

Bring a water bottle and a towel — you’re going to need both. We have free towels at the front desk if you forget yours. One thing that surprises most new members: we train barefoot at The FIIT Co. Training without shoes improves your balance, stability, posture, and overall movement quality. If barefoot training isn’t your thing, just bring a pair of clean indoor sneakers.

You won’t need gloves, wraps, or any other specialty gear for your first visit. Just show up ready to work.

THE CLASS FORMAT

Our classes run under 45 minutes and are structured as circuits — rotating through a series of stations that blend strength training with high-intensity conditioning. Depending on the day, you might be doing a Strength Upper or Lower class focused on building muscle, a FIIT Push/Pull circuit designed to spike your heart rate, or a boxing/kickboxing session that mixes heavy bag work with plyometric conditioning.

Every exercise can be modified. Your coach will show you options to scale up or scale down based on where you are right now. Nobody expects you to be perfect on day one. They expect you to try.

THE COACHING DIFFERENCE

What sets The FIIT Co. apart from big-box gyms and even other boutique studios is the coaching. Our trainers are certified, experienced, and genuinely invested in helping you move well. They’ll correct your form, encourage you when you want to quit, and remember your name the next time you walk in.

This isn’t a place where you blend into the background. It’s a community where people know each other and push each other to be better.

AFTER YOUR FIRST CLASS

You’re going to be tired. That’s normal. You might discover muscles you didn’t know you had. Also normal. We have showers, towels, blow dryers, and shower supplies available so you can clean up before heading back to your day.

Most importantly, you’re going to feel something you probably haven’t felt at a gym in a long time: like you actually want to come back.

READY TO TRY IT?

Your first week at The FIIT Co. is just $20 — unlimited classes, no commitment. We’re located at 2110 Market Street in downtown Denver, right in the Ballpark/RiNo neighborhood. Classes run daily starting at 5am, so there’s always a time that works.

Come train for your adventure.
